Book #: Book 4 in the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series

Book Description:
Percy Jackson isn’t expecting freshman orientation to be any fun. But when a mysterious mortal acquaintance appears on campus, followed by demon cheerleaders, things quickly move from bad to worse.

My review:
This was an interesting book, the labyrinth is underneath the entire USA and so the group manage to pop out all over the place as they explore the labyrinth, looking for its creator Daedulus. In the labyrinth they meet all sorts of mythical beasties and its quite fun, even if I still feel too old to be reading this series.

I think adventure-wise, this might be one of the best of the series- a lot happens because the labyrinth has just so much to it, so many components and monsters. You also have Percy and Annabeth getting closer, and its really sweet- even though its an innocent first crush kinda thing, its really sweet and works with the story well, even with the threat of Rachel coming between them.

Everything has built up nicely in this book so that the final one will be a good one, all the players are in place, the baddies are all set and ready to go… yeah, that last book is gonna be good, you just know it.

Final review:
The Battle of the Labyrinth rating:
