Book #: Book 2 in the Anita Blake series

Book Description:
Harold Gaynor offers Anita Blake a million dollars to raise a 300-year-old zombie. Knowing it means a human sacrifice will be necessary, Anita turns him down. But when dead bodies start turning up, she realizes that someone else has raised Harold’s zombie–and that the zombie is a killer. Anita pits her power against the zombie and the voodoo priestess who controls it.

My review:
Damn, another great book in this series. Have I mentioned how great the first few books are? If only the trend continues (though who knows, maybe reading from the start throws new light onto the series and the future smut-filled books?).

Anita is still an awesome character, and she’s got a real handful this time around. The bad guys pile up, there are gruesome bodies discovered with some unknown monster behind it, it’s just really good to read. I’m really glad I found these books at an op-shop and decided to give them a go, as they are really a fun few reads. Can’t wait to start the next book!
