Book #: Book 11 in the Immortals After Dark series
Murdered before he could wed Regin the Radiant, warlord Aidan the Fierce seeks his beloved through eternity, reborn again and again into new identities, yet with no memory of his past lives.
When Regin encounters Declan Chase, a brutal Celtic soldier, she recognizes her proud warlord reincarnated. But Declan takes her captive, intending retribution against all immortals—unaware that he belongs to their world.
Yet every reincarnation comes with a price, for Aidan is doomed to die when he remembers his past. To save herself from Declan’s torments, will Regin rekindle memories of the passion they once shared—even if it means once again losing the only man she could ever love?
OMG THIS BOOK. I hated Declan soooooooooooo much for most of the book. He is such an asshat. And it hurt to hate him because poor Regin deserved so much better, and every time he acted like an asshat it hurted poor Regin and we hate it when our favourite characters get hurt.
But then we got to know more about him and began to feel for the guy and he went from being an asshat to semi-okay to omg perfect. So much better suited for Regin than Aiden had been. The story had so many characters to care about and I was hell worried they wouldn’t all get out of the facility alive. I have to admit, I kinda love Lothaire. I know he’s a mad bad guy, but he’s completely bonkers and completely awesome and I have a book crush on him.
Anyways, this story was damn good. I read late into the night to finish it and am paying dearly for it today, but no regrets! I’d happily do it again, because this book was awesome.
