Book #: #2 in the Hex series
Jazz and Nick are happy to be alive, and happy to be together, after the events in the first book. Until Jazz wakes up with a sore neck and the certainty that Nick bit her. Is Jazz going crazy? Nick claims he didn’t bite her, but the trouble seems to only just started, as Jazz starts having weird dreams, and even loses her powers, worried that she is losing her mind.
Is an old enemy turning up on the scene to blame?
It’s fluffy, it’s fun, it’s a beach-read, and I’m becoming rather addicted to this series. If only I could find books 3 & 4 in the series!!! Nick is a very hot character, and he is very patient with Jazz, who is having what seems to be a breakdown of sorts throughout the book. Not her fault though- the people who are doing this to her were seriously evil.
It was fast-paced and fun, you knew what was going to happen but it was still enjoyable to read. I loved Irma’s story, she is still such a great character that you can’t help but love her and Jazz’s love-hate relationship. She’s like Jazz’s crazy old aunt, and who doesn’t love a crazy aunt?
I’m also seriously addicted to scented bath soaps and moisturisers, thanks to this series. The ones Jazz owns sound so delicious, I want each and every one of them!
Hex Appeal rating: 9/10. I really am loving this series!
Would I read it again? Yes, it’s a fun book and a fun series, I love books like this as they aren’t ones I have to think about while reading- I can just relax and enjoy the ride, and zone-out from the mundane problems of daily life.
Who would I recommend it to? Fans of paranormal romance books. It’s smutty though, so not for the kiddies/teenies.
