Book #: Book 2 in the Primal Instinct series
Saige is the youngest of the Buchanan family, and she has been on the trail of relics for the past few years, the only one of the children to believe in her mother’s crazy stories. She’s just found something, and someone has just found her. Michael Quinn, a shapeshifter, a protector, and someone bad for her, yet so good. He’s been sent to bring her back home, to the safety of her brothers, but it isn’t going to be easy.
It’s so trashy, but so good. Quinn and Saige are just awesome characters, they are so well suited to each other that you just can’t help but wish for them to end up together. It is going to happen, you know it, but you still wish for it throughout the story, each time getting closer and closer and getting disappointed each time one of them pulls away. Sigh. I think I enjoyed Saige’s story more than Ian’s. Possibly because Ian’s story was the first in the series, so a lot had to be established to make sense, where as Saige’s story, everything has been explained so it’s just pure story and pure awesome.
I need to find the third book in the series, which, by pure deduction alone, must be about the third and remaining Buchanan child. Plus the author has a wolf series that looks like it could be pretty awesome as well, I need to try and hunt down some more of her books!
Edge of Danger rating: 9/10. Loved it!
Would I re-read it? Hells yes. It wasn’t too long, it wasn’t too boring, it wasn’t too predictable, it was just awesome.
Who would I recommend it to? It’s smutty and paranormal, like my usual favourite reads, so it’s aimed really at mature aged women who enjoy the paranormal romance genre.
